On December 14th, 2019, Hudson Area Cemeteries will participate in Wreaths Across America, placing a wreath on the grave of each veteran buried in Hudson, NH cemeteries. Hudson Memorial VFW Post 5791 and Auxiliary are sponsoring this event. National Wreaths Across America Day is a free, non-political, community event open to all people.
There will be a ceremony at the Hills Farm Cemetery at Noon, Dec. 14. Parking is available in the Alvirne Chapel parking lot, 160 Derry Rd, Hudson. The public is invited.
There will also be a brief ceremony at St. Patrick's Cemetery at 2 PM, with another brief ceremony at Holy Cross Cemetery at 2:30 PM. Since these cemeteries will not allow individual wreaths to be placed, ceremonial wreaths will be laid at the flag poles of each cemetery and the names of those veterans interred there will be read.
