• District Business Administrator

    The Hudson School District seeks a detail-oriented, community-focused Business Administrator. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong technical, interpersonal and communication skills. The Business Administrator provides leadership in the areas of financial planning, capital planning, accounting, transportation, human resources, food service and the development & oversight of the District budget.

    The Business Administrator will:

    • Oversee the smooth, efficient, and effective financial and business operations of the District, Facilities Management, Transportation Services and Food Service Operations.
    • Direct union negotiation activities for the district as designated by the Superintendent.
    • Supervise and administer all General Liability, Property, E & O, and Student Insurance for the District.

    Qualifications:

    • A New Hampshire Department of Education Business Administrator certification, a Business Administration certification through NHASBO or SBO certification through ASBO International, or eligibility for credentialing, required.
    • Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred, in accounting, business administration or other related areas.
    • Five years’ experience in financial management and government accounting required. Direct experience in schools and with the SB2 budget process, preferred.  
    • Proven expertise in the areas of budget development, fiscal management, personnel management, and contract negotiations.
    • Must have the ability to meet deadlines.
    • Understand and work with complex data sets and be able to take a collaborative approach in working with the school board and community.

    Compensation: This is a year-round position.  Depending on experience, the range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 per year.
